Salvation

We believe salvation is a free and everlasting gift of God entirely apart from works. We believe that every person is responsible to receive salvation by personal belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:1-4) and by calling upon Him for salvation (Rom. 10:13). Salvation comes by grace and through faith, and that not of yourselves (Eph. 2:8-9). Every person must realize his or her lost state and his or her sinful condition, after which he or she must believe. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. However, while eternally secure, Scripture clearly states every believer will give account of things done in his or her body after salvation at the judgment seat of Christ, therefore one should not use security as an occasion to sin.

The Bible

We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Tim. 3:16) and that God has promised to preserve His pure words (Ps. 12:6-7). We believe that the Authorized King James 1611 Bible is the inspired and preserved words of God in the English language and is therefore the supreme, inerrant, infallible, and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

The Godhead

We believe that there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).

Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as virgin born (Isaiah 7:14) and that He was God manifest in the flesh (I Tim. 3:16). He lived a sinless life (Heb. 4:15), He laid down His life on the cross for our sins (Rom. 5:8), He arose bodily the third day (1 Cor. 15:4), He ascended back to Heaven (Acts 1:9), He sits glorified at the right hand of the Father (Heb. 1:13), He is the Head of the Church (Col. 1:18), He is coming again (Titus 2:13), and He is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6).

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates the believer and that He indwells (Rom.8:9), seals (Eph. 4:30), guides (Rom. 8:14), witnesses (Rom. 8:16), sanctifies (2 Thess. 2:13), and helps the believer.

The Body of Christ

We believe that every believer in the Church Age is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the spiritual body of Christ upon salvation (1 Cor. 12:13). We believe that the body of Christ was a great mystery that was hidden from past ages until it was first revealed by Christ through the apostle Paul (Eph. 3:1-12). There is only one body (Eph. 4:4) of which Christ is the Head (Eph. 1:22-23). The body of Christ (the church) is a spiritual organism made of all blood-bought, saved Christians.

The Local Church

We believe the local church to be a body of believers who come together in obedience to Christ to carry the gospel to the lost of the world (2 Cor. 5:18-20) and to edify, encourage, and strengthen the saints (Eph. 4:12) primarily through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. As seen by the ministry and writings of the apostle Paul, the local church is ordained of God to be the primary means whereby God works in this age.
